Resource Ability

A resource ability is a type of triggered ability, indicated by the bold “Resource” timing trigger.

• A resource ability can be triggered anytime the player who controls the ability is generating resources to pay a cost.

  • A resource ability that generates a resource only for a specific type of cost cannot be triggered when paying a cost not of that type.

    (For example, a resource ability that generates a resource for an aspect card cannot be triggered when paying for a non-aspect card.)
